ZED X, SeeedStudio j4012 Orin NX 16GB, capture card DUO, JP6 not working

I’m on a SeeedStudio j4012 (Orin NX 16GB). It came with Jetpack 5.1.1, and has worked with the driver for capture card DUO.

Now I have on it Jetpack 6.0 L4T 36.3.0 and the driver 1.1.0 for DUO capture card.
I get this:

virtual@viojetson:~$ sudo dmesg | grep zedx
[sudo] password for virtual:
Sorry, try again.

What can I do to make it work?

Hi @Vivio

The SeeedStudio j4012 is not officially supported by our capture cards and drivers, so we cannot guarantee that every version works correctly with it.

Can you please post the log file generated by the command sudo ZED_Diagnostic --dmesg?

But there was a tutorial for J401 and capture card connection, This is what I use to connect them :frowning:

The command

sudo: ZED_Diagnostic: command not found

What pacjage I have to install?

What tutorial? Can you point me to it?

Did you install the ZED SDK and the ZED X Driver?

I’ve install it after:

MoTTY X11 proxy: No authorisation provided
MoTTY X11 proxy: No authorisation provided
MoTTY X11 proxy: No authorisation provided
MoTTY X11 proxy: No authorisation provided
nvbufsurftransform: Could not get EGL display connection

** Please wait for completion... This might take up to 1 minute **
- Running Log Kernel Trace Diagnostic : OK

I guess the X11 is because I connect to the Jetson remotely now.

You must use a HDMI or DisplayPort dummy plug when working in headless mode

The tutorial is

I’ve ask questions about it here:

I’m pretty confident that the tutorial was also on stereolabs at the beginning of the year

Is good to know about the dummy plug.

Is there a chance to assemble the correct driver? At 5.1.1 has worked.

Please try to re-install the ZED SDK and send me the output of sudo ZED_Diagnostic --dmesg.
After that I can tell you if it’s something already available.

Please note that JP6 works differently for JP5 and it is not guaranteed that it can be compatible.

A man has to try

Thank you for your help!

HI @Myzhar do you have some good news? I can be the alpha/beta tester with all the risk. I’ll not have some days access to my Jetson.

I must confirm that SeeedStudio j4012 is not working with JP6 and ZED X cameras.
I have no information concerning future solutions to this problem for the reasons I reported before.

Thank you, @Myzhar for telling the actual situation.

Is not the resolution that I’ve wanted, but at least I known I have to do a serious workaround.

Hello @Myzhar!

Please, can you look at this LOG file? I have use the info from this page to install JP6 on J4012. Is the file for Zed box Orin.

From my point of view it seems that the driver is loaded. I just have the jetson on me, not the camera. At least is a step ahead. After this weekend I’ll connect the Zed X on the J4012 to see the actual result.

On this forum page, it is said that you can provide the open source driver. I’ve asked minutes ago Seeed Studio if they can provide help if I can get the drivers.

Since there are at least 2 users with some problem , maybe we can get a resolution.

I really want to play with this ZED X thingy

Hi @Myzhar

I could not waited … so I went today to the lab.
As I’ve said in my previous post. I’ve used your tutorial for ZED BOX orin NX on J4012.

The driver section

These drivers have worked

Explorer_HD1200_SN41478944_04-05-37 is the image from ZED Explorer. It has some noise on it, but on first try I’m happy.

Afterwards I’ve tried the normal drivers:
