ZED X on Orin Zed Box

Hi, we are running some tests with Zed X on Orin Zed Box but in some cases the camera fails the Diagnostic Test…It seems that on the outside it fails and on the insider it runs

The outside temperature is around 8 degrees. Here is the Diagnostic file.

Please:

  • Uninstall the ZED X Driver and reinstall it
  • Install the latest ZED SDK v5.2

Hi, I have Orin and I wrote: ‘apt-cache show nvidia-l4t-core | grep Version’ and I get 36.4.3-20250107174145 so I install ZED SDK for JetPack 6.1 and 6.2 (L4T 36.4) 5.2 (Jetson Orin, CUDA 12.6)?

When I wrote

dpkg -l | grep stereolabs-zed

I got

To uninstall the ZED x driver I need to use sudo apt-get purge stereolabs-zedbox-duo stereolabs-zedbox-mono?

The SDK 5.2 installer already inside will reinstall the ZED X Driver?

Good morning, I followed the suggested steps:
Uninstall the ZED X Driver and reinstall it
I Install the latest ZED SDK v5.2, but it still works

when I’m in the office, but outside,

in an external environment (9 degrees Celsius) it doesn’t work… how can I fix this?

Hello,

I have a ZED x mini, Zed capture card duo and a Jetson orin nano dev kit and I’m experiencing the exact same issue with the temperature.

With 22 degrees inside it works, then when I go outside with 10 degrees and I get the stream fail error ([2026-05-14 15:18:57 UTC][ZED][ERROR] CAMERA STREAM FAILED TO START in sl::ERROR_CODE sl::camera::open(sl::InitParameters)).

Any idea on how to solve this? The camera is sold with an operating range of -20 to 55 degrees and I would expect it to work easily at 10 degrees…
