ROS2 + ZED SDK doesnt make sense

I feel like am missing something here, ROS2 is only supported on ubuntu 20.04, ZED needs CUDA and is only on Nvida products, yet all current jetson products can only run on 18.04…

Hi @THLL
that’s the current limit of the Nvidia Jetson boards: Nvidia has not yet released a Jetpack based on the latest Ubuntu 20.04.
Nvidia planned the release of Ubuntu 20.04 in the next few months, meanwhile you have two possibilities:

  • use the branch eloquent (no more maintained)
  • use one of the Docker containers based on Ubuntu 20.04, ROS2 Foxy, and the latest ZED ROS2 Wrapper

JetPack 5.0 Developer Preview is out…
see here
Linux Kernel 5.10, UEFI based bootloader, Ubuntu 20.04, CUDA 11.4.14
Hope we will see a SDK package for Jetson Linux 34.1 soon!
Looking forward to it.

We are working with it. A few things yet to fix, but we are going to release JP5 support very soon.
