Low Bandwidth error

Hi,

I’m currently utilizing 2 zed-2i and 1 zed-mini on usb 3.0, 3.0, 4.0 respectively on z870 board with 9950x3d and rtx 5090

i can see the cam on ZED_Explorer, but failed to open cam in my application, as well as ZED_Depth_Viewer. All cams are plugged with USB 3.0 Type-C Cable 4m and USB 3.0 Type-C Dual Screw Locking Cable 3m purchased with cameras.

no errors were on ZED_Diagnotics

Hi @kim-hansol314
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

We need more details about your device’s status and system configuration to gain a clearer insight into the cause of your issue.
Could you connect the camera to the USB3 port, launch the ZED Diagnostic tool, and send the report file it produces?

it shows warning that new user can’t upload files

Please connect and test one camera at a time.

Please also connect the three cameras simultaneously and send me the output of the commands
lsusb -d 2b03:
and
lsusb -d 2b03: -t -v

all three cams omitted same error on ZED_Depth_Viewer when I connected and tested one camera at a time.

You connected 3 USB3 cameras to the same USB3 channel, this is not allowed because of bandwidth and power limitations.
If your mother board provides only a single USB3 channel, you need a PCI expansion board with multiple USB3 controller like this one:

Shouldn’t it work on a single camera if single channel is a problem?

first written error occured with only one camera connected.

Please connect one camera, run ZED Diagnostic and send the report.

ZED_Diagnostic_Results1.json (6.4 KB)

ZED_Diagnostic_Results2.json (6.5 KB)

ZED_Diagnostic_Results3.json (6.5 KB)

Here’s the report for zed mini, and two zed 2i diagnostic report

The Diagnostic reports show something weird.
All the cameras are indeed detected, but the ZED SDK is not opening them.

Can you please try to open the raw stream of the camera using a webcam application? (e.g. guvcview, cheese)

raw stream works just fine.

i tried on a different pc with same component with just different motherboard, which has usb 3.1 gen2.

most port showed same issue, while one c-port and usb 3.1 gen2 managed to work, but still failed to use three cams simultaneously

As I said before, three cameras are never supported.
When using USB3.1 Gen2, the bus switches to USB 3.0 compatible mode, so the available bandwidth is the same as USB3 Gen.1

the other pc I tried on has two different USB channel and two cams connection was only successful on condition when they were connected on specific port on the same channel, while the other channel was never successful on two / three cams connection
