Livelink plugin for ue 5.6

Hi,

Is it possible to build a plugin for Livelink for Unreal 5.6?
All attempts have been unsuccessful.
Even if I manage to run a sample project from GitHub, Unreal crashes when I press play.

Hi,

I have not tested yet. I’ll try to take some time next week to test it, and I’ll come back to you once it’s done.

Hi Ben,

Do you have any updates?

Hi,

Sorry for not getting back to you.

I just tested it and I have no issue on my side.

Can you share your crash logs?

Hi,
Sure
Here’s crash from VS build output.

It’s not our live link plugin but our Unreal plugin/project, is that right ?

This one is not yet compatible with 5.6 (I’m working on it) and will be available with the ZED SDK 5.1 compatibility.

Hi Ben,

Yes, my bad sorry.
I mean plugin for UE 5.6.

Do you think when we can expect it?

Kuba

I’m doing a final QA this afternoon but the branch is already available here : GitHub - stereolabs/zed-UE5 at v5.1

You need to use the ZED SDK 5.1, which was released yesterday.

wut? So it is possible to install the plugin on UE5.6 as well? May I ask why you don’t advertise this on the github repo and on the help files?

LE: I just saw that you were talking about the livelink version. BTW, is there a place where I can find the difference between the 2?
Thank you!!

I can’t find the new version. May I ask that you share it? Or just downloading the github repo is ok?
Thank you!

Hi @ygreq
I meant the stereolab plugin for Unreal Engine 5.6.
I am changing the topic name, sorry for the confusion.

edit:
Sorry @BenjaminV could you change name of topic for correct? I can’t :frowning:

You can use the latest available version of the LiveLink plugin with UE 5.6; no modifications are required for compatibility.
