Help Needed: New Capture Card Still Fails on Jetson Nano Super Dev (See Error Logs)

Hello,
Previously, due to the capture card overheating, we suspected that the capture card might be faulty. For more details, you can refer to this topic: The camera cannot be opened - #9 by eatpockyboy.
We have now purchased a new capture card, but the issue still persists. Below are some on-site photos and error logs. Could you please help analyze the cause? Thank you very much.

P.S. My device is a Jetson Nano Super Dev. The capture card is a Mono, connected to the Jetson’s cam1 port (because the cam0 port is faulty).

Hi @eatpockyboy
is the Jetson an “original” NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano development kit, or are you using a third-party carrier board?
Have you tried to replace the flat cable?

Thank you for your reply. My development kit model is the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit. Currently, I only have one flat cable on hand.

Please use the tester to check that the flat cable is good by checking that all the tracks are not broken.
Please also verify that the flat cable is correctly pushed into the connectors and that there is nothing inside that could break the connection.

I just found that the newly purchased capture card came with an extra cable. I just confirmed the connection method with the electronics engineer, and we verified that it is correct. However, after connecting the new flat cable, the same error was still triggered.
Also, I would like to ask, does this capture card have to be connected to the cam0 port in order to work?

Please reboot the Jetson and then when it’s just started open a new terminal and enter the command sudo ZED_Diagnostic --dmesg to send me a new json log.
Then turn off the board, remove the power to both the carrier board and the capture card, disconnect the flat cable from cam1 and then connect it to cam0.
Replug the power cables and boot the device.
Open a new terminal and enter the command sudo ZED_Diagnostic --dmesg to send me a new json log from cam0.

hello~ The following two files correspond to the cam0 and cam1 logs, respectively. Please have a look.
dmesg_cam0.log (19.2 KB)
dmesg_cam1.log (19.2 KB)

im facing the same issue on my capture card duo … i have jetson orin super and the light in the capture card is persisting even after i remove the power source and when i launch the camera … it says error opening camera: camera stream failed to start … it was working fine but as i updated the zed-sdk …the issue started popping … i even tried zed diagnostics but the camera doesnt open …

Hi @Hamdan
Welcome to the StereoLabs community.

Please create a new thread for your problem and add the dmesg.log report generated by the command sudo ZED_Diagnostic --dmesg

@eatpockyboy there’s something weird with the CSI connections because there’s no communication between the carrier board and the capture card on both connectors.
Please check that the flat cable is correctly inserted on both sides and that the connectors of the carrier boards are good.

Hello, thank you very much for your reply. I can confirm that the flat cable is connected according to the official documentation. You can refer to the photos I took at the top of this topic. Also, how can I determine if there is a problem with the Jetson carrier board’s cam port?

The only way is to test the same configuration with another carrier board.

Have you connected the flat cables while the power was plugged into the carrier board, the capture card, or both? This can be potentially dangerous and may have damaged the port.

Test this linkmono on jetson Xavier NX development board .it is can not work.
