I use Livelink for Unity. We have issues since 5.x with changing ids, when both cameras see a person at the same time. I guess of sync issues. But with 5.0.2 the fps getting down drastically. We use 720p and 30 fps. On 5.0.1 we have about 27-29.9 fps, but with 5.0.2 its only 22 fps and lot more variablity. We already use a dedicated usb pcie card and use a 5070 TI.
We are aware of the current instability of the fusion module in the latest version of the SDK (5.x).
We are currently working on improving the module in general and should be available publicly in the 5.1 release.
Thank you for the clear words. When can we roughly expect the release of 5.1? We already using Fusion for a project on blackwell architecture and it would be very helpful to have a timeframe.
Is it still in scope? Because we need to decide for buying the project hardware using Blackwell or older GPU. Actually we are using the 4.x SDK because of this issue.
The improvements on incoming data association using a local network configuration have been approved and merged into the release_5.1 . These changes enhance the synchronisation within the Fusion module and boost the overall FPS of the Fusion API.
As for the release date, we’ve decided to postpone it slightly in order to incorporate several additional major enhancements, which will be detailed in the upcoming release notes. At this stage, we anticipate a release window between early and mid-September.
thank you for the update. It is very disappointing to us because we are running actually in big issues now with a client project we are now in finishing state. We are stuck at 4.2.5 because 5.x is at the moment with fusion unuseable because of very low framerate even on blackwell. The hardware partner of the client is now delivering the target hardware and it is impossible at the moment to become other GPUs than blackwell at the moment from the distributor. Are there any inofficial prerelease builds we could use (4.x or 5.x) which works better with blackwell? The main issue is not only low framerate, it is also about losing camera connection which does not exist with 4.x which is very problematic for us.
