will it be possible to use the ZED X without Jetson on an ordinary Windows/Linux PC?
I am especially interested in the ZED X due to the high frame rate. However, I do not want to buy a new Jetson system.
we are sorry, but ZED-X can be used only with NVIDIA Jetson devices.
Will this system compatibility restriction persist long term? We’d prefer to use our current non-jetson linux systems. Can you provide any details on what creates this lock-in?
Yes, that’s not only a limitation of the GMSL2 communication protocol, the ZED-X also uses features of the NVIDIA Jetson devices that are not present on other embedded and not-embedded devices.
