Zed X One Environmental Rating

Hi, I noticed the Zed X and Zed X mini are listed in their data sheets as IP67, while the Zed X One is not. Is that primarily due to the changeable lens? I.E., if a properly sealed lens was to be glued down should the system be considered IP67, or would it need an enclosure to be environmentally sealed?

Obviously with a lens installed on the end user side, it wouldn’t ship with the rating officially and testing would be needed to officially consider it IP67 rated, I’m more wondering whether this is a possible path or if the housing isn’t sealed otherwise?

Thanks!

Matt

Hi @mattbradford
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

Yes, this is one of the reasons why the ZED X One cameras have no IP rating.

We will launch a new model of the ZED X One cameras with a certified IP rating in the next few months.
