ZED X Camera Connection Disconnection Occurred

Hello,

While using a ZED X camera connected to an Orin NX 16GB, the connection was lost and logs similar to those in the attached file were generated.

We attempted to restart the daemon to reconnect, but the attempt failed.

Could you please let us know if there are any known causes or solutions related to this issue?

The attached log contains only the camera-related entries extracted from the system log (syslog).

The operating environment is as follows:

  • Camera: ZED X

  • Controller: Orin NX, Jetpack 6.2

  • Driver version: 1.4.0

  • SDK: 5.2.1

This is an important detail. This often happens when the GMSL2 capture card receive a spike (positive or negative) on the power line, and the deserializer enters in a kind of protective status that can be reset only with a full power reboot.
What GMSL2 capture card are you using? Is it using a shared power input, maybe with a motor controller?

I recommend you upgrade to the latest ZED X Driver v1.4.4 and ZED SDK v5.5.
They provide improved recovering behaviors for GMSL2 disconnections.
