ZED SDK installation issue on NVIDIA DGX Spark (Ubuntu 24.04, CUDA 13)

Hello Stereolabs Team,

we are working with a ZED 2i camera on an NVIDIA DGX Spark system running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, CUDA 13.0 and TensorRT 10.
According to your download page, the latest ZED SDK v5.1 supports CUDA 13 and Ubuntu 24. However, we could not find a working x86_64 installer (non-Tegra).

When trying to run the Jetson/Tegra package (ZED_SDK_Tegra_L4T38.2_v5.1.0.zstd.run), the installer aborts with:
head: cannot open ‘/etc/nv_tegra_release’ for reading: No such file or directory
Unable to detect Tegra L4T version, required exact Tegra_L4T38.2
WARNING: possibly unsupported Linux 4 Tegra version, Continue [Y/n] ?
…………..
We are aware that this package is ARM-based and not compatible with our x86_64 DGX platform.

We would like to ask:

  1. Is there a dedicated x86_64 installer of the ZED SDK 5.1 compatible with Ubuntu 24.04 + CUDA 13 for NVIDIA Spark / DGX servers?
  2. If not yet released, could you please indicate an ETA or provide a temporary link?
  3. Is there an alternative way to build or link the ZED SDK manually with CUDA 13 (e.g. from source)?

Thank you very much for your support — we really appreciate your great work!

Best regards,

Medical Informatics Team

Hi @MohamadHaskoto
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

Isn’t this good for you?

Hi, the DGX Spark is not supported. The closest you can try is forcing the installation of the ZED_SDK_Tegra_L4T38.2_v5.1.0.zstd.run you tried but definetly not the x86_64 installers as the DGX Spark has an arm CPU (if we’re talking about the same thing).

The ZED SDK is proprietary and can’t be built from source.

Currently, there are no plans to support ARM servers (non-Tegra), as there has been little demand. However, this could be reconsidered in the future.
