ZED Link Quad with AGX Orin the connected keyboard and mouse cannot be used.

ZED Link Quad

軟體版本如下:
AGX ORIN 32G

JETPACK 6.2.1

ZED SDK use
ZED_SDK_Tegra_L4T36.4_v5.2.1.zstd.run

ENGLISH:

The ZED Link Quad can operate normally on the AGX Orin.
However, the connected keyboard and mouse cannot be used.
As soon as the ZED Link Quad is plugged into the AGX Orin, the keyboard and mouse stop functioning.
A separate 12V 5A power adapter is used to supply power to the ZED Link Quad.

Software version:

AGX Orin 32G

JETPACK 6.2.1

ZED SDK use

Hi @seed0097
Welcome to the StereoLabs community

This is the cause of the problem, probably for a Ground conflict.

Please try to power both AGX Orin and ZED Link Quad with the same power input

Currently, I am using two separate 12V 5A power adapters — one for the AGX Orin and another for the ZED Link Quad. However, the issue still occurs and the USB ports on the AGX Orin (keyboard and mouse) remain unusable when the ZED Link Quad is connected.

Could you please advise if there is a recommended power supply specification (such as the recommended voltage or current)?

Additionally, I would like to confirm the recommended power configuration for the AGX Orin and the ZED Link Quad:

1.Should they be powered by two separate power adapters?

2.should both devices share a single power adapter?

Thank you for your assistance.

No, you can use the same adapter. This is recommended.

This is recommended.

My AGX Orin is powered via a USB Type-C adapter. How can I share a single power adapter between both devices, especially since the provided connector only includes a DC jack? What would you recommend doing in this case?

According to the documentation, the ZED Link Quad requires a power supply of 9V–19V (minimum 6W). If both devices need to be powered simultaneously, should they share a single power adapter, or should each device use a separate power supply? If a single adapter is recommended, what voltage and current specifications would you suggest for powering both devices?

Additionally, would it be possible to connect the ground (GND) pin on the ZED Link Quad to the GND pin on the AGX Orin GPIO header so that both devices share a common ground?

Could you also provide a wiring diagram or pinout diagram for the ZED Link Quad, especially indicating the location of the power and ground pins?

The customer has purchased other ZED Link adapter boards before, and they were able to use two separate power adapters while the mouse and keyboard worked normally. Because of this, we would like to confirm whether this issue might be related to a possible hardware problem.

Hi @seed0097
I have a doubt: are you using an official NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin development kit, or are you using a third party carrier board?

Jetson AGX Orin development kit 32G

Is the problem present using other ZED Link Quad capture cards?
Does the USB functionalities restart if the GMSL2 card is removed?
Has he tried to reflash the Jetson and reinstall only the ZED SDK and the ZED X Driver?

Is the problem present using other ZED Link Quad capture cards?

The USB devices work normally when using ZED Link Duo.
We do not have another ZED Link Quad card available for testing.

However, when accessing the system remotely, the ZED camera can still open and display images normally, so the board itself may not be damaged.

Does the USB functionality restart if the GMSL2 card is removed?

Yes. After removing the GMSL2 card, the USB functionality returns to normal.

In fact, even when the ZED camera is not connected, simply installing the ZED Link Quad card causes the USB devices (keyboard and mouse) to stop working.

Has he tried to reflash the Jetson and reinstall only the ZED SDK and the ZED X Driver?

Yes. We reflashed the system with JetPack 6.2, and then installed the required software again.

However, the issue remains the same: once the ZED Link Quad is installed, the USB devices stop functioning.

@seed0097 please send an email to support@stereolabs.com with a link to this discussion.

Thank you for your response.

After cross-testing, we found that out of the four ZED Link Quad units we purchased, only one exhibits this issue.

I have already contacted support@stereolabs.com for further assistance regarding this product.
