ZED Box - Xavier-NX Power Supply voltage range

Hello there,

I have a ZED Box - Xavier-NX version and I want to use it on my robot. I want to power it with the DC power jack. The label says 12V DC but the datasheet says 12-48V DC. My robot has a 19V battery.

Can I connect the ZED Box directly to the robot battery or do I need a voltage converter to bring it down to 12V? I could not find any verification to this in the forum and I better ask than risk damaging the device.

With kind regards,
~Dave

Hi @dave
welcome to the Stereolabs community.

Yes, you can power the ZEDBox with a 19V battery, but I suggest you use a DC-DC to provide a stable power source.

Important: be sure to provide the correct power polarization.

Dave, for completeness sake, can you confirm the range goes all the way up to 48V?

Hi @halfeld
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

This is wrong. The maximum voltage that can be provided through the barrel jack connector is 19V.

Thanks, Myzhar. I’d like to mount it on a DJI M300 drone. Unfortunately, the 24V outlet is the only one available, so I guess we’re gonna have to bear with a DC-DC.

Or is there any chance of survival with a 24V supply?

No, it would be burned.
