Zed Box IP Rating

Hello Stereolabs team,

I am deploying a ZED Box Orin NX (16GB) mounted on a tractor for an agricultural project.

I would like to know the official IP (Ingress Protection) Rating of the ZED Box chassis itself.

Since the environment involves heavy dust and potential humidity/splashes:

  1. Is the case sealed against fine dust (IP5x or IP6x)?

  2. Does it have any protection against water (IPx4 or higher)?

  3. Given the open I/O ports (USB/Power), do you recommend an external IP67 enclosure for outdoor usage?

I am concerned that dust accumulation or vibration on the exposed connectors might be causing hardware instability.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @joao.barbosa
Welcome to the StereoLabs community.

The ZED Box has no IP rating certifications.
It’s not protected against water and power ingress.

If you need a rugged device, I recommend you consider one of our partners’ solutions:

Hi @Myzhar
Thank you for the clarification. That answers my question regarding the hardware limitations. We will proceed with a custom enclosure solution to protect the device.
