ZED 2i not detected on Jetson Nano

Hi

My Zed-2i is not detected on Jetson Nano.
I am using a usb 3.0 cable and connecting Zed to a usb 3.0 port.

Below is my dmesg output on plugging it in

I ran the diagnostic and it gave a camera detection error. I am copy pasting the file as attachments are not supported from new users

Hi @srinath
your ZED 2i is correctly detected and initialized by the ZED SDK.
What program are you using to open it?
Did you test ZED Explorer or ZED Depth Viewer?
What error do you get?

Hi Walter

I used ZED explorer. But it just displays waiting for camera.

Regards
Srinath

And please see the below output from diagnostic
“Camera Test”: {
“InternalDevicesCount”: 2,
“ZEDCount”: 0,
“error”: [
Camera not detected
Make sure the camera is plugged in or try another USB 3.0 port.”
]
},

Entire diagnostic is attached

Hi Walter

I used ZED explorer. But it just displays waiting for camera.

Hi Srinath,
I just noted that the camera is recognized as a USB2 device instead of USB3:

  • check the cable
  • check the screws of the cable, they must be strongly strengthened
  • check that you connected the camera to the USB3 port, not the USB2 port

Best regards,

Walter

Hi Walter

All the USB ports on Jetson Nano are USB 3.0
I am using a USB 3.0 cable (I lost the original one that came with the camera)
Should i get a replacement cable from Stereolabs ?

Hi Srinath,
Thank you for reaching out to us.

I am using a USB 3.0 cable (I lost the original one that came with the camera)

It is possible that the cable is not good for high-speed data transfer.
I recommend you test a different cable and order the original cable as a replacement.

Best regards,

Walter
