ZED 2i IP66 test report or certification

Hello

I saw on the website that the ZED 2i has an IP66 waterproof and dustproof rating.
May I ask where I could download the test report or official certification showing that it has passed the IP66 test?
Thank you.

Hi @Myzhar

Thank you for reply,

Actually, I already sent an email, and support team replied that they needed to check internally.

After that, I followed up several times, but there was no further response.

So I came to the forum to see if anyone else has asked the same question.

From my experience the IP rating is either exaggerated, or let down by poor QA. We find around 10-20% of zed2i deployed will end up with moisture intrusion within a year. If you find that they are starting to get moisture forming under the lens, we have found that placing them in a ~50C filament dryer for a few days tends to get them functional again.

Hi

Thank you for sharing your experience, I really appreciate that.

We plan to install the ZED 2i on a boat. It will only be moved onto the boat when in use, and stored in a warehouse at other times.

Our client has requested that we provide IP test certification to prove that the sensor meets the IP66 protection level.

If such documentation is not available, we will need to perform a new IP66 test on the ZED 2i, which seems like a waste of time and money, considering that the ZED 2i has already passed this rating.

Therefore, regardless of whether ZED 2i can withstand IP66 conditions, we still need supporting documentation as evidence.

Thank you.
