■ Symptoms

  • The camera suddenly stops updating the video feed during operation.
  • The issue is not resolved until the application is restarted or the camera is reconnected.

■ Frequency of Occurrence

  • In some cases, it occurs within approximately 30 minutes.
  • In other cases, it occurs after more than 7 days of normal operation.
  • A clear pattern regarding specific times or conditions has not yet been identified.

Hi @RyanLee

I recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of the ZED SDK → https://www.stereolabs.com/developers/release

Normally, this happens when the USB connection is not stable (vibrations? shocks?), or it’s disturbed by external electrical noise.

This screenshot confirms connection issues.
Are you using USB3 extenders?

According to the description, this could happen because of different environmental conditions that are normally not perceptible by the human eye, but can cause unpredictable behaviors with a computer video system.

What’s your setup regarding gain and exposure? Are they set to automatic or do you use manual settings?

A workaround could be to set the Region of Interest for Automatic Gain and Exposure to a zone of the image that you know it does not change during the operations, a part of the machinery for example.
