Hi Stereolabs Support Team,
I am writing to report a recognition issue with my ZED 2 camera when connected to a Jetson AGX Xavier.
To provide some context, the camera and its cable are perfectly fine. When connected to my old Jetson TX2 (even with a USB extension cable), it is recognized as a USB 2.0 device, and all tools run smoothly, and I can record .svo files (VGA mode, 30fps). However, it completely fails to connect to Xavier.
System Environment:
-
Device: NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier Developer Kit (32GB)
-
OS: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
-
ZED SDK: 4.1.4
Troubleshooting steps & symptoms on AGX Xavier: I have thoroughly tested all physical ports, including the USB port and type-C port (using a high-quality OTG adapter), as well as trying a powered USB 3.0 Hub and then reinstalling the OS. I even borrowed another Xavier (successfully forced to 5000M) to test. But the results are always the same:
-
Standard UVC apps like ‘Cheese’ can open the low-res stream via the Type-C port, but fail completely on the eSATAp port.
-
ZED_Explorer completely fails to open the camera, getting stuck in an infinite “Waiting for camera”.
-
ZED_Sensor_Viewer also fails to open, meaning I cannot retrieve any IMU or environmental sensor data either.
Since the same camera works fine on the TX2 (with limited resolution). I would like to confirm if there are known compatibility issues between ZED 2 and the AGX Xavier on this OS version
Thank you for your support.
