Zed 2 camera not found in diagnostic, crashes in Explorer on record

I can see the camera in Zed Explorer working, but it crashes when I try and record, regardless of recording settings. Initially I receive an error:
”Cannot record SVO. Make sure you have administrator rights, enough storage space to write the SVO, recording path/filename is valid or that the compression codec is supported on your platform.”

My diagnostic test says that the camera is not detected or that a usb 2 connection is detected. But it’s definitely a USB3 port and all my usb 3.0 ports give the same issue.

I am not allowed to upload files yet, but will repost the saved diagnostic file below this one

Hi @ninosignups
First of all, I noticed that you are using an old version of the ZED SDK.
I recommend you install the latest v5.4.0.

Second, you are on Windows 10.
Usually this kind of issue is caused by a firewall or an antivirus (Kaspersky?) that is blocking the operations of the ZED SDK.
Can you verify if this is the case?

Turns out it was a hardware issue, the cable on the back of the zed 2 is hardwired and was very finicky, must’ve been damaged at some point. I have to tape the cable a certain way, or it gives scrambled or no video. I also updated the SDK to 5.4.

The zed 2i has a usb C cable so that seems like an improvement.

This was one of the issues of the ZED 2 camera, which is now out of production.

Yes, the removable cable with locking screws was our reply to solve this type of issue.
Furthermore, there’s the advantage of being able to select a cable with the right length, without using extenders.
