White balance accuracy

In my application (unity) i want to be able to adjust the white balance to a degree to make small adjustments when an image is too yellow or blue. But values where the white balance is adjusted is not consistent and way to large of gaps to actually make fine adjustments. Between 4400 and 4900 it does not change for example.
Also in the depth viewer when you try to change the white balance it only works when you hit a number rounded too 100. So when sliding it skips most of the changes.
