The FAQ mentions how many ZED cameras can be connected to a ZED box, but I would like to know which ZED box (Jetson) is required to fully utilize the resolution and fps of the connected cameras.
I am considering the following system configuration for body tracking in a wide area using ZED products:
Connect 2 cameras to a single ZED box as an edge PC.
Connect multiple edge PCs via Ethernet and integrate the camera data on a processing PC that acts as a receiver.
Therefore, the ZED box will only perform body tracking (body18), while other processing will be handled by the processing PC.
So, could you please tell me:
Which ZED box can fully support 2x ZED X cameras?
Which ZED box can fully support 2x ZED 2i cameras?
I just want to confirm:
Is it correct that the Orin NX 8GB cannot fully support 2x ZED 2i cameras? (meaning it cannot maintain body tracking at high resolutions at 15 or 30 fps)
Also, I understand that the Orin NX 8GB and Orin NX 16GB have similar GPU performance, but differ in RAM.
Is it correct to say that RAM capacity becomes important when processing two ZED cameras (16GB is necessary instead of 8GB)?
The computing power of the Orin NX 8GB module is less than the computing power of the 16GB module (70 TOPS vs 100 TOPS); furthermore, the 8GB of RAM shared between CPU and GPU does not allow the usage of different AI engines at full rate.
