Hello everyone,
I am currently designing an experiment in which people walk to tables placed around a room (8 x 8 m) and search and collect objects on the tables. We would like to track the walking trajectories of the participants (X, Y, Z coordinates) and the position of the objects to determine 1) the timepoint and duration participants visit each table and 2) the number of objects participants interact with and collect at each table. I am reaching out the assess the feasibility of this project using the Zed 2i cameras and have a few initial questions below:
-
Our lab received a demo of the Zed 2 camera from another lab. The range was 2 - 3 m for tracking people walking around - much smaller than the 15 m range described in the technical specifications. I am wondering what may have caused this decreased range and the range have others had for body tracking using the Zed 2 or Zed 2i cameras? Considering participants can navigate in an 8 x 8 m space in any direction they would like would two Zed 2i cameras be sufficient to track body & object tracking?
-
Is there Matlab support for using multiple cameras and concurrent object detection and body tracking?
-
Considering the available objects in the object subclasses, am I correct in assuming I would have to set up custom object detection if the objects I would like to track on not on this list?
Thank you in advance for the help!
