Using NVIDIA Data Center GPUs (A100/H100) with ZED 2i on ROS2 VM

Hello,

I’m looking to integrate two ZED 2i cameras into a ROS 2 pipeline running inside a virtual machine.

The ZED SDK documentation lists minimum requirements that reference RTX-class GPUs, but I currently have access to NVIDIA data center GPUs (A100 and H100) rather than RTX cards. I haven’t been able to find official documentation that clarifies whether these GPUs are supported or tested with the ZED SDK.

Specifically, I wanted to ask:

  • Is it supported or known to work to use ZED 2i cameras with A100/H100 GPUs?

  • Are there any limitations when using data center GPUs instead of RTX GPUs?

  • If this setup is possible, what is the recommended way to configure it ?

Any guidance or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @adb
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

This is expected since this kind of GPUs are not yet supported by the ZED SDK.

Supporting server GPUs is not on our roadmap yet, but we will consider adding it if the number of requests increases.
