Hi,
I have an Orin NX 16GB that I wish to use to run 3 ZED X Mini in a trinocular (cameras 120* degrees apart) configuration. I want to find out if this is possible, and what other hardware I need to purchase (Capture Card Duo etc). I have a few questions pertaining to this.
-
Given that the Capture Card Duo is compatible with All Jetson Orin devices, how would I connect the capture card duo to the Jetson Orin NX 16GB?
-
The ZED BOX seems to be able to support 4 ZED X Cameras in its Orin NX 16GB configuration. Is this true for the Orin NX 16GB only?
-
Will the 3 cameras be hardware synchronized?
Hi @mukundbala
The Jetson Orin NX does not have an official NVIDIA development kit.
What carrier board are you planning to use?
Please not that not all the carrier boards are natively compatible with our GMSL2 drivers.
The ZED Box is equipped with a ZED Link Duo, which allows you to handle up to 4 cameras simultaneously when using the latest ZED X Driver with ZED SDK 5
Yes, all the GMSL2 cameras connected to the same GMSL2 deserializer are natively synchronized with microsecond precision
Looking to purchase one. Whiich Orin NX 16GB carrier boards are compatible? If you could point me to a list that has been tested with the cameras and capture board, that would be super helpful!
Thanks
I recommend our Mini Carrier Board for full 100% native compatibility

Great, that does sound like a good idea. Could I check if I can have a configuration of the Mini Carrier Board (16GB NX) that can support 4 ZEDXMini cameras? Is there a way for me to interface the capture card DUO with the Mini Carrier Board (16GB NX)?
The Mini Carrier Board has integrated GMSL2 capabilities; it can handle a maximum of 2 GMSL2 cameras.
The ZED Box mounts a ZED Link Duo capture card inside, it allows you to connect up to 4 GMSL2 cameras.
