Tracking humans while camera is mounted 90 degrees

Hey, I’m currently building an app that for lots of reasons requires the Zed2 to be mounted on the side of a large screen oriented in a ‘portrait’ orientation/90° angle. I’m not seeing the same level of performance at this orientation and if the human bends their body in a certain direction the tracking is lost completely. Using ‘accurate’ and ‘neural’ settings.

Is this to be expected? Are there any internal ways to set this orientation as default?

thank you!

Hi,

Indeed our current detection models are not performing optimally in this configuration.
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do to improve the detection right now.

However, that’s something we are trying to improve for the new AI models that will be available with the new release of the SDK (v4.0).

thank you for the response! looking forward to the new release.

Hey! I’ve been looking and don’t see any roadmap. When do you expect to release 4.0? Thank you!
