Sending depth data into Unreal


i’m very new to the field so i need a push in the right direction.

How can I best get the depth data into the Unreal Engine (Editor only! Never a standalone app!). I would like to mask with them depending on the depth of the real and the digital object.

Or do I ask too much?

Because REALY need a newer version of the Engine.

Maybe over a plugin solution?
However, my knowledge will not be enough to write a plugin…
