Limited to VGA @ 15 FPS

Hi @StereoLabs,
Recently purchased a ZED2i. When I ran the diagnostic tool the following tests failed -

Camera test - “Specific Ressolutions are not available”

Devices test - “UB 2.0 Connection detected”

I was able to see raw footage from the Explorer tool at VGA 15 FPS and was also able to run the sample and tutorial program through the python api after forcing res down to VGA using the init.params.

I have tried multiple cables (including USB C to C), different ports, and even three separate PCs.

looked at troubleshooting posts and came across this -

“Avoid red ports which are branded as “Gaming”, “VR Ready” or “USB 3.1” ports.”

Tried a system with the regular blue ports but it didn’t work either.

I have attached the diagnostic file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi @VirG
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

The camera is detected as a USB2 device.
Possible reasons:

  • You connected the camera to a USB2 port
  • You connected the camera to a USB2 hub
  • You are not using the original cable
  • You are using not supported cable extender
  • The screws of the original Stereolabs cable and not strengthened
  • The cable is broken

Is it the case that only the official cable supports transfer rates high enough to enable all available resolutions and frame rates? Would a generic USB 3.0 certified type C cable work?
