Jetson Orin Nano - Zed X - Machine Freeze During Stream

Hi there,

Like the title says, we have a Jetson Orin Nano with a Zed X and a capture card. Running the latest version of the SDK with the Zed drivers. Everything seems to be working properly, the ZED Explorer and the rest of the other ZED tools behave normally, the preview looks fine, however, when we try to create a remote stream so we can access it from another machine the whole machine locks up, the image freezes for a few seconds and the machine reboots. Both with H.264 and H.265 options. I’ve tried creating the stream through the ZED Explorer as well as with Python and C++ and they all freeze the machine.

Any potential solutions to this? Do I need to go back to a different SDK version? Any help would be appreciated.

The goal is to use the ZED X with the Nano and access it from a Windows based machine a few feet away.

Thank you!

Hi @GevC, welcome to the forums.

The issue for streaming with Orin Nano is that it doesn’t have a hardware encoder. We are working on how to make the streaming compatible with it, but we don’t have a solution now. I’m told that it’s a work in progress ant will come in the next versions of the SDK.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I don’t think we have a solution to stream from your nano right now.
