Is this possible to scan QR/Bar code using ZED2i camera?

Hi,
I am using ZED2i camera on my drone for local positioning.
Now I want to use the same camera in an additional task.

I want to use the ZED2i camera for QR code scanning and/or bar code scanning.

Setup:

  • Jetson Xavier NX Developer Kit / ZED Box 16GB
  • ZED2i Camera
  • Pixhawk 6X/6C

1- Is this possible to scan the QR/Bar code using ZED2i camera?
2- If yes, to the above questions, is this possible to scan the QR/Bar code while using the IMU data?
3- How can I do this?

Please do share the example or documentation if this is possible.
Thank you.

Hi @MuhammadBilal1
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

We provide an example to detect ArUco markers:

For detecting bar codes you can use external libraries like OpenCV.

Hi @Myzhar ,
Thank you for your response.
Do you have a response to question # 2?

The example you gave is of C++, I am not familiar with that, can I get something in Python!

If you are not used to C++, then OpenCV is your solution.
For IMU data retrieving: https://github.com/stereolabs/zed-sdk/tree/master/tutorials/tutorial%207%20-%20sensor%20data

Ok. I am looking into these examples.
But, is this possible to use the same camera for multiple purposes?
For example, getting the IMU data, object detection, collision prevention, and scanning the QR code.

Yes, you must customize your code for that.
You cannot open the camera from multiple processes. All the code must run in the same application
