Increasing cpu load

I am testing with the new 5.4 SDK and found out that the cpu load slowely increases with time.
it happens with own custom build sw, but also with sample applications.
Is this normal behavoir?

for example:

2 zed camera with object detection starts with 140%

it grows every second with +/- 0.2%

after 5 minutes it is 189%

I saw after hours much more cpu load.

tested it on nvidia orin 32GB with duo capture card.

and on vecow eac-6100 and eac-5000.

I also saw lower fps after some time, but I am still investigating this.

after some more tests I found out that the cpu increase is also with older sdk’s and also with performance instead of neural light. it will settle after some hours.

but the FPS drop is a big issue.
with older SDK 5.1.1 there is a higher cpu load, but fps seems to be staying stable over time.

with new 5.3.1 and 5.4 SDK the cpu consumption seems to be less, but the FPS will degrate within minutes/hours. from +/-30fps, it goes down slowly to 1-4fps! sometimes in minutes, sometimes in hour. After restarting the application it is 30FPS again.. the cpu increases and the fps drops. When the fps drops, the cpu and gpu is idling, so it is not a cpu/gpu bottleneck!

Hi @Martijn,
Thank you for reporting this behavior.

Could you provide a minimal code snippet that allows us to replicate the issue with the same setup?

If you can also share an SVO file recorded under the same operating conditions, that would give the ZED SDK team everything needed to quickly analyze the problem and work on a fix.
