We are thinking of getting a ZED Box 2 Max - T5000. Is the GPIO Triggering like for the ZED Link Capture Cards also available on this platform? We currently use trigger signals for our ZED X cameras and would like to continue with this workflow.
Hi @poel_da,
Welcome to the StereoLabs community.
No, the ZED Box 2 Max - T5000 does not expose the camera trigger signals on an external connector. The eight GMSL2 cameras are hardware-synchronized by the deserializers. To align them with other devices, synchronize the system clocks, for example with PTP over Ethernet. See the Camera synchronization section of the documentation.
If you need external trigger signals, the ZED Box 2 is the right choice. Its Sync and IO connector supports both trigger output (sync_mode=1) and external trigger input (sync_mode=2), as described in the ZED Box 2 Camera synchronization guide. Note that its trigger pins are 1.8V signals, so a level shifter is required if your current trigger source is 3.3V or 5V.
