Does Zedbox mini support MAXN_MODE and MAXN_SUPER?

Hello,

I am using the ZEDBOX Orin NX 16GB for our project. Our algorithm and logic currently run in MAXN_MODE, as I was informed that the ZEDBOX Orin NX does not support MAXN_SUPER mode because of COTS peri board.

I would like to confirm whether the ZEDBOX Mini supports both MAXN_MODE and MAXN_SUPER mode, provided that our system can maintain the SoC temperature within safe limits?

I can confirm that the ZED Box Mini does not support the MAXN_SUPER mode as it was not designed to support the higher temperature safely.

I’ve just powered up a brand new Zedbox Mini and noticed the Power Mode option in the GUI. I was able to choose among the following modes:

  • 0: MAXN SUPER

  • 1: 10W

  • 2: 15W

  • 3: 25W

  • 4: 40W

As you mentioned, the Zedbox Mini does not support MAXN SUPER, but it does support MAXN MODE. However, I couldn’t find an option to select MAXN MODE. Should I re-flash the Zedbox Mini?

Hi @pepsipower ,

Yes I would recommend flashing the box following these instructions, the flash procedure sets up the nvpmodels with a MAXN mode.
