Can the IMU be disabled on GMSL ZED X / X One if it is unused?
Hi @corentinartaud,
Welcome to the StereoLabs community.
No, the IMU of the ZED X and the ZED X One cannot be disabled; it is always powered and running at the hardware level, and its data stream is handled by the ZED X Driver and the ZED SDK with negligible overhead.
If you do not need inertial data, simply do not call getSensorsData, and set PositionalTrackingParameters::enable_imu_fusion to false if you use Positional Tracking without the IMU contribution.
More details about the sensors module are available in the online documentation.
Can you share the reason why you want to disable it? This will help me suggest the best configuration for your use case.
