Cuda 12.1 not detected error

hello everyone,
it’s my first time using zed camera and i am trying to configure it and make sure it’s working on my ubuntu 20.04 before using it with jetson nano.
i installed CUDA 12.4 with is compatible with my driver version: 550.54.14

for the SDK i got the latest one which is SDK 4.0.8.
every thing seems well until i run ZED_Diagnostic it gives me an error that CUDA 12.1 is not detected.

i tried several solutions but none is working, can someone help?

Thanks for your response.
that’s what i got regrading the report file, noting that the camera is connected to usb3 port in my laptop.
I got the same camera error when i first tried to use it on windows (all was OK except the camera was working as usb 2 not usb 3), so i went to ubuntu to make sure it’s not camera issue before using it in my project.

CUDA is not correctly installed.
I recommend you run these commands to clean the CUDA installation

sudo apt purge cuda-* 
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/cuda*

then download the latest ZED SDK and start the installer. It will guide you in installing the required CUDA version.

all is good except the USB error

i just noticed that my laptop got the following usb ports
3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support DisplayPort™ / G-

should that be the problem?

The USB3 controller cannot enumerate the camera, so there’s something wrong at the connection level.
What is the model of your camera? Can you send a picture to identify it?

Sure here it is, i believe it’s Zed 1 version, and it’s barely used

Have you tried different USB3.0 ports on your laptop with the camera?
When testing on Windows, could you successfully connect to the camera?

Yes, i tried different usb3.0 ports, and different laptops.
On windows the camera can’t connect as USB 3.0, when i tried to use USB 2.0 port, zed explorer worked (only camera vision, no depth), but zed diagnostic still gives me an error, which make sense.
So i am confused is the camera damaged or it’s a software error that i can’t figure.

On your Ubuntu 20 system, can you run the following command:

lsusb -t

When the camera is connected in USB 2, and also when connected in USB 3?
