Cannot Initialize the Camera

Good Evening,

I am using a Jetson AGX Orin Dev Kit (64 Gb) with a dual stereo and four cameras connected.

ZED Explorer -a detects all cameras, but when trying to open the cameras with ZED_Depth Viewer or ZED_Explorer,it opens the first, but with the second it fails. I get:

[ZED][ERROR] [ZED] Cannot initialize the camera.
nvbuf_utils: dmabuf_fd -1 mapped entry NOT found
nvbuf_utils: dmabuf_fd -1 mapped entry NOT found

Attached the Diagnosis files

dmesg.log (84.0 KB)

ZED_Diagnostic_Results.json (23.6 KB)

Hi @Julen
Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

You are using 4 ZED X cameras connected to a ZED Link Duo capture card.
The problem could be caused by the fact that both ZED Explorer and ZED Depth Viewer are trying to open the cameras at 60 FPS in HD resolution, which is not supported for this configuration as explained here:

Do you have a suggestion on how can I debug the situation?

You could try to launch the multi-camera example

The error seems to persist when running the multi_camera example:

Are you working in headless mode?

https://support.stereolabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/28103346502167-Why-can-t-I-use-the-ZED-X-camera-with-ssh-X-in-headless-mode

No. My current setup has both a monitor,a keyboard and a mouse connected to the jetson board

Please try to run the command sudo service zed_x_daemon restart before trying to open the cameras again.
This will reset the ZED X Driver in case you plugged/unplugged cameras while the host was already booted. GMSL2 cameras are not plug-and-play; you cannot change the hardware configuration while the host is running.

It seems the error to persist.

Given 4 cameras connected, I can read two but the other two I cannot. I can read camera 1 and camera 3, but no 2 and 4

Th

This normally happens with old ZED X Driver or SDK versions, but you are using the latest.

I’m checking with the HW team what can be the cause of the problem.

Please double check whether the capture card is correctly plugged in, and the cameras too.
These types of problems appear only with bad connections.
