I’m interested in recording indoor sessions via 2+ cameras that can be synced to our Xsens MVN Awinda IMU (inertial measurement units) system. The Xsens base station has built-in IN/OUT bnc ports that can be configured to receive or send trigger signals from/to external devices (i.e., it can be configured to Master or Slave).
I think ZED X cameras have sync/trigger capabilities. Can you please confirm this? Does it still need the ZED Box Mini and ZED Link Capture Card Duo to perform such sync?
Update the documentation “Hardware triggering” documentation of the ZED Link Mono, the ZED Link Quad, and the ZED Box Mini/Mini Carrier Board have been updated to add information about the SLAVE MODE and Multi-device synchronization:
I am working with ZED link DUO card and two cameras. As you mentioned only Mono, Quad and Mini, support HW GPIO trigger in SLAVE mode. Any chance this will be implemented with Duo card or the card will never support GPIO triggering?
Hi @Myzhar Regarding slave mode on the quad capture card - how is the camera capture time, exposure start/end time and the image timestamps related to the input trigger.
With the master mode it is clearly documented that the The output trigger signals are two square waves, with their rising edges synchronized with the end of the exposure phase of the CMOS sensors.
I’m a bit confused about whether this capture card ZED Link Duo on Xavier AGX supports external triggering, or if I need to use a different card to trigger the camera externally。
