Camera not detected Capture Card is on

I am running a Jetson Orin AGX connected to a Stereolabs ZED Link Capture Card Quad. I have four ZedXOne GMSL cameras connected to this setup.

The problem is that the cameras are not being detected. Running the command ZED_Explorer -a lists no cameras. Crucially, the cameras are also not generating any heat, which strongly suggests a lack of power delivery.

Debugging Step: I measured the current draw and found that the capture card (with 4 dummy cameras connected) is only pulling 1.4 mA at 24V in its idle state. This is significantly low. I suspect a power issue with the card itself or the GMSL power distribution system.

Setup Context:

  • System Status: This is a existing setup. It has previously worked correctly.

Could you please advise on what steps I should take to isolate this suspected power issue on the capture card?

Thank you, and looking forward to your fast support!

Hi @tillwald

To assist you better, we need additional information regarding your device’s condition and system setup.

Please open a terminal console (Ctrl+Alt+t) and run these commands:

  • sudo ZED_Diagnostic --dmesg
  • sudo ZED_Diagnostic -c

After executing the commands, kindly send me the files dmesg.log and ZED_Diagnostic_Results.json located in the folder where the commands were run.

dmesg.log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l0Kz9DC3Gd3IzNv4bX_oaFd__VqIXjQb/view?usp=drive_link

ZED_Diagnostic: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10RCNsI0BzB-U7Lig-y7fnFHM-qtCePDJ/view?usp=drive_link

The capture card is not detected by the driver.

24V is out of the voltage range to power the ZED Link Quad capture card.
The maximum power is 19V.
