Any suggestions for an IP67+ enclosure for the ZED X?

We have been quite happy with our ZED camera’s in terms of their feature set and robustness when placed in difficult environments. However, one issue we’ve had is that the camera’s don’t cope well with systematic cleaning. We assume the issue has two main causes:

  1. The high pressure cleaning allows water to get in the casing (this is not a big issue we expect, since the sensor itself isn’t being cleaned directly)
  2. The cleaning process leaves water standing on top of the camera (mounted to look straight down). Since the top is flat, water might creep into the seams of the housing

We are looking at designing or buying a housing for the camera to solve this issue. Right now we have 3D printed a mount around the camera and this works perfectly, however we would like something a little more robust.

Does anybody know of external housings we can make or buy to protect the camera from these sources? A full body enclosure will be ideal, but a top cover might already be enough to solve the second issue.

Kind regards,
Lucas

Welcome to the Stereolabs community.

Unfortunately, we do not have specific enclosures for ZED X to link.

You could try to contact Sexton Co. They have experience in designing ZED camera enclosures:
